This wine has been sourced from the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and embodies the true characteristics of Chardonnay. The wine is rich and full bodied with a beautiful wooded nose, reminiscent of hazelnut and supported by hints of green apples and citrus. The wine fills the palate and leaves a long, creamy texture and satisfying finish.

Vintage: 2018

Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay

Winemaking Notes:
The Grapes were harvested from various blocks in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and then cold fermented separately in steel tanks. Once fermentation was completed the wine was moved to barrels and prevented from going through Malolactic fermentation to retain freshness on the nose and palate. After aging the wine for 12 months in French Barrique Oak barrels the best five barrels were chosen and blended together and bottled shortly afterwards.
