Made from 100% Chardonnay full ripened grapes. This wine has been sourced from the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and embodies the true characteristics of a cool climate Chardonnay. The wine is creamy and bodied with a beautiful slightly wooded nose, reminiscent of hazelnut, pear blossom and supported by hints of orange and vanilla. The wine fills the palate and leaves a nice satisfying finish.

Winemaking Notes

The Grapes were harvested early in the morning in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and then for 12 days cold fermented separately in steel tanks. Once fermentation was completed the wine was moved to barrels and prevented from going through Malolactic fermentation to retain freshness on the nose and palate. After aging the wine for 12 months in 3rd and 4th fill French Oak barrels we bottled it shortly afterwards.
